What you ask us to do

We store the vehicle model, country, postal code, town and email to find a suitable dealer and follow up on this specific interest. Processing is based on your consent. The service is free and no purchase agreement is entered into.

Your consent

I consent to EVImport storing my vehicle preference, area and email for up to six months and contacting me about this interest. Anonymised summaries may be used to find dealers in the area. My contact information is shared only after I approve a named dealer. I can withdraw consent and delete my interest at any time.

Who receives the information?

Access is limited to authorised EVImport staff and technical operations and email providers processing data on our behalf. A dealer receives your vehicle preference, area and email only after you actively approve that named dealer. We do not share the information with vehicle exporters.

When recruiting new dealers, we only use summaries without names, email addresses or postal codes, with at least 5 confirmed interests per town and model. Small groups are not shared.

Retention and deletion

Unconfirmed registrations expire after 48 hours. Confirmed interests expire after 180 days. Expired information is unavailable and is automatically deleted during cleanup or the next processing operation in the service. You can delete it earlier using the email link. Backups follow the operational system’s deletion procedures and are not used for follow-up.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw consent at any time using the email link. Contact us for access, rectification, deletion or data portability, or if you have lost the link. You may complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. A dealer who has already received the information must also be contacted about their further processing.
